When
a patient (whose prescription information has been keyed into the
database) turns up at the hospital for his repeat medication, his
medication record is retrieved at the pharmacy
A pharmacy staff then screens the information to check for medication misadventures.
The dispensing label is then generated.
Pharmacy department staff packing the medication according to the dispensing label.
Patient is then called to collect the medication at the dispensing counter.
