So Hard To Please

MEN ARE HARD TO PLEASE

The problem with GUYS :

If you TREAT them nicely, he says you are IN LOVE with him;

If you Don’t ,he says you are PROUD.

If you DRESS nicely, he says you are trying to LURE him;

If you Don’t ,he says you are from KAMPUNG.

If you ARGUE with him, he says you are STUBBORN;

If you keep QUIET, he says you have no BRAINS.

If you are SMARTER than him , he will lose FACE ;

If he is SMARTER than you, he is GREAT.

If you don’t Love him, he tries to POSSESS you;

If you Love him, he will try to LEAVE you.

If you don’t make love with him, he says you don’t Love him;

If you do!! he says you are CHEAP.

If you tell him your PROBLEM, he says you are TROUBLESOME;

If you don’t, he says that you don’t TRUST him.

If you SCOLD him, you are like a NANNY to him;

If he SCOLDS you, it is because he CARES for you.

If you BREAK your PROMISE, you cannot be TRUSTED;

If he BREAKS his, he is FORCED to do so.

If you SMOKE, you are BAD girl;

If he SMOKES, he is GENTLEMAN.

If you do WELL in your exams, he says it is LUCK;

If he does WELL, it is BRAINS.

If you HURT him, you are CRUEL;

If he HURTS you, you are too SENSITIVE.

SO HARD TO PLEASE

If you tell this to guys, they will swear that it is not
true;

If you don’t, they will say you are SELFISH……

I received this forwarded mail from a friend.HOW TRUE IS THIS?hahaha….

Stupid driver

Tuesday, October 24th, 2006

By: asianjoke.com

Two rich men were talking over coffee one day and one
of them said to the other one "Hey I tell you my driver is really stupid…
you don’t believe?

Let me show you." and he called his driver Ah Beng
over and said "Ah Beng, here is a 10 dollar note, go to the car showroom
and buy me a Mercedes." to which Ah Beng replied, "Yes Sir! right
away!" and rushed off to the showroom.

The rich man turned to his friend and said, "See,
I told you he was stupid." The other rich man said, "That’s nothing, you
want to see stupid,
I will show you stupid."
and he called his driver, Ali. "Ali, go home now and check to see if I’m at
home." to which Ali said, "Yes Sir, right away Sir." and ran
home. "See what I told you? He doesn’t even have enough brains to know that
I cannot be at home if I am here."

Later on, the two drivers met on the road. Ah Beng said to
Ali, "Eh, you know my boss is sooo stupid. He gave me 10 dollars and ask me
to go to the car showroom and buy him a Mercedes….. Doesn’t he know that today
is Sunday lah, the showroom is closed!"

Ali replied, "You think he is stupid ah? My boss
lagi worse, he asked me to go home to check if he is at home…. He got hand phone
what, can just call up to check lah!!!!"

祷告 I Pray

Saturday, October 21st, 2006

This is a song by Kevin Cheng from SOP Ministries .
I like this song when I first listen to it.The lyrics is so meaningful and melody is so nice to listen to.Today I watch their "celebrating 10 years of worship(SOP Live in Taipei) DVD".They have sharing and testimonies in between songs.I was so touched when Kevin shared his testimonies. He didn’t mention what actually happen in his life but he said at that particular night,he can’t sleep,he sat alone by himself on the sofa. He felt so helpless,he found that no one (including parents, sibling, friends),nothing(eg:sport, game, singing) can really help him to overcome that stage that he was experiencing. He shared and cried until he can’t really continue it,so he ended by sharing this song "I pray".This is a song that really encourage me but unfortunately i don’t know how to put the music up here.If you like it, you can get it from store or here .

祷告 I Pray

祷告因为我渺小
I pray, for I am nothing
祷告因为我知道我需要
I pray, for I clearly know I need
明瞭你心意对我重要
To seek Your will as it’s shown to me
祷告已假装不了
I pray, for I am searching
祷告因为你的爱我需要
I pray, for Your love is what I need
你关怀我走过的你都明白
On my knees, through the valleys, You walk with me
有些事我只想要对你说
Some things I only wanna let You know
因你比任何人都爱我
’cause no one loves me like You, my Lord
痛苦从眼中流下

Though tears of pain may fall out
我知道你为我擦
You’re with me I have no doubt
在早晨我也要来对你说
As day breaks Lord I wanna cry to You
主耶稣今天我为你活
’cause You so love me, You’ll pull me through
所需要的力量
The strength that I need
你天天赐给我
I receive every morning
你恩典够我用
Your grace is all I need

PRAISE GOD FOR CLOSED DOORS

Friday, October 20th, 2006

We need to learn to thank the Lord for closed doors just as much as
we do for open doors. The reason God closes doors is because He has not
prepared anything over there for us. If he didn’t close the wrong door we would never find our way to the
right  door. Even when we don’t realize it, God directs our paths through
the closing and opening of doors. When one door closes, it forces us to
change our course. Another door closes; it forces us to change our course
yet again. Then finally, we find the open door and walk right into our
blessing. But instead of praising God for the closed door (which kept us out of trouble), we get upset because we "judge by the appearances." In our
own arrogance, or ignorance, we insist that we know what is right. We have a very present help in the time of need who is always
standing guard. God walks ahead of us, He can see trouble down the road and HE
sets up road blocks and detours accordingly. Through our lack of wisdom we
try
to tear down the roadblocks or push aside the detour signs. Then the
minute
we get into trouble, we start crying "Lord how could this happen to me?" We have got to realize that the closed door was a blessing. Didn’t He say that "No good thing will He withhold from them that
love
Him?" If you get terminated from your job - don’t be down, instead thank
God for  the new opportunities that will manifest themselves - it might be a
better job, or an opportunity to go to school. If that man or woman won’t
return your call - it might not be them, it might be the Lord setting up a roadblock (just let it go). One time a person had a bank he had been
doing business with for many years tell him "NO" for a $10,000 loan. The
Lord
led him to call another bank. That bank approved a $40,000 loan for him
at a lower interest rate than his own bank had advertised. The Mountain top is glorious, but it is in the Valley that I will
grow! Commit to the Lord in whatever you do and your plans will succeed.

God Said No

Friday, October 20th, 2006

I asked God to take away my habit.
God said, No.
It is not for me to take away, but for you to give it up.

I asked God to make my handicapped child whole.

God said, No.
His spirit is whole, his body is only temporary

I asked God to grant me patience.
God said, No.
Patience is a byproduct of tribulations; it isn’t granted, it is learned.

I asked God to give me happiness.

God said, No.
I give you blessings; Happiness is up to you.

I asked God to spare me pain.
God said, No.
Suffering draws you apart from worldly cares and brings you closer to me.

I asked God to make my spirit grow.

God said, No.
You must grow on your own, but I will prune you to make you fruitful.

I asked God for all things that I might enjoy life.
God said, No.
I will give you life, so that you may enjoy all things.

I asked God to help me LOVE others, as much as He loves me.

God said…Ahhhh, finally you have the idea.

THIS DAY IS YOURS DON’T THROW IT AWAY

May God Bless You,

"To the world you might be one person, but to one person you

just might be the world"

"May the Lord Bless you and keep you,

May the Lord Make his face shine upon you, and give you Peace…..Forever"
Good friends are like stars…You don’t always see them,

but you know they are always there

Don’t Quit

Friday, October 20th, 2006

Received this from a friend some times back.Would like to share it here.
One day I decided to quit…

I quit my job, my relationship, my spirituality…

I wanted to quit my life.

I went to the woods to have one last talk with God.

"God", I said. "Can you give me one good reason not to quit?"

His answer surprised me…

"Look around", He said. "Do you see the fern and the bamboo?"

"Yes", I replied.

"When I planted the fern and the bamboo seeds, I took very good care of them. I gave them light. I gave them water.

The fern quickly grew from the earth. Its brilliant green covered the floor. Yet nothing came from the bamboo seed.

But I did not quit on the bamboo. In the second year the Fern grew more vibrant and plentiful.

And again, nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo. He said.

"In year three there was still nothing from the bamboo seed. But I would not quit.

In year four, again, there was nothing from the bamboo see.

I would not quit." He said.

"Then in the fifth year a tiny sprout emerged from the earth.

Compared to the fern it was seemingly small and insignificant…But just 6 months later the bamboo rose to over 100 feet tall.

It had spent the five years growing roots. Those roots made it strong and gave it what it needed to survive.

I would not give any of my creations a challenge it could not handle."

He said to me. "Did you know, my child, that all this time you have been struggling, you have actually been growing roots?"

"I would not quit on the bamboo. I will never quit on you."

"Don’t compare yourself to others." He said. "The bamboo had a different purpose than the fern. Yet they both make the forest beautiful."

"Your time will come", God said to me. "You will rise high"

"How high should I rise?" I asked.

"How high will the bamboo rise?" He asked in return.

"As high as it can?" I questioned.

"Yes." He said, "Give me glory by rising as high as you can."

I left the forest and bring back this story.

I hope these words can help you see that God will never give up on you.

I am too blessed

Someone will
always be prettier or smarter.

Their house
will be bigger.

They will
drive a better car.

Their
children will do better in school and

their
husband will fix more things around the
house.

So let it
go, and love you and your circumstances.
Think about
it.

The
prettiest woman in the world can have a broken
heart.

And the
most highly favored woman on your job may be unable to have
children.

And the
richest woman you know;

she’s got
the car, the house, the clothes -

might be
very lonely.
So, love you.

  Love who
you are right now.

Tell
yourself  "I am too blessed to be
stressed."

Be blessed
ladies and encourage another woman.
"To the world you
might be one person,

but to one
person you just might be the world".

Listening to God and obeying the Lord’s voice

Friday, October 20th, 2006

I received this in my mail-box,would like to share with all my friends

A young man had been to Wednesday night Bible
Study. The Pastor had shared about listening to God and  obeying
the Lord’s voice. The young man couldn’t help but
wonder,  "Does God still speak to
people?"
After service he went
out with some  friends for coffee and pie and they discussed the message.Several  different ones talked about how God had led them
in different ways.It  was about
ten  o’clock   when the young man started driving
home.Sitting in his car, he just began to  pray, "God…If you
still speak to people speak to me. I will listen. I  will do my
best to obey."
As he drove down the main street of his town,
he  had the strangest thought to stop and buy a gallon of
milk.He shook his  head and said out loud, "God is that you?" He
didn’t get a reply and started  on toward home. But again,
the thought, buy a gallon of milk. The  young man thought about
Samuel and how he didn’t recognize the voice of God,  and how
little Samuel ran to Eli."Okay, God, in case that is you, I
will  buy the milk." It didn’t seem like too hard a test of
obedience. He could  always use the milk. He stopped and purchased
the gallon of milk and started  off toward home.As he passed
Seventh  Street ,  he again felt the urge, "Turn Down that
street."This is crazy he thought  and drove on past the
intersection.Again, he felt that he should turn  down Seventh  Street .At the next intersection, he turned back and
headed down Seventh.
Half  jokingly, he said out loud, "Okay, God,
I will". He drove several blocks,  when suddenly, he felt like he
should stop.He pulled over to the curb and  looked around. He
was in semi commercial area
of town. It wasn’t the best
but  it wasn’t the worst of neighborhoods either. The businesses
were closed and  most of the houses looked dark like the people
were already in bed.Again,  he sensed something, "Go and give the
milk to the people in the house across  the street." The young man
looked at the house. It was dark and it looked like  the people
were either gone or they were already
asleep. He started to
open  the door and then sat back in the car seat."Lord, this is
insane. Those  people are asleep and if I wake them up, they are
going to be mad and I will  look stupid." Again, he felt
like he should go and give the milk. Finally,  he opened the
door, "Okay God, if this is you, I will go to the door and
I  will give them the milk. If you want me to look like a
crazy
person, okay. I  want to be obedient. I guess that will
count for something but if they don’t  answer right away, I am out
of here."He walked across the street and rang  the bell. He could
hear some
noise inside. A man’s voice yelled out, "Who is  it?
What do you want?" Then the door opened before the young man could
get  away. The man was standing there in his jeans and T-shirt. He
looked like  he just got out of bed. He had a strange look on his
face and he didn’t seem too happy to have some stranger standing on
his doorstep. "What is it?"The young man thrust out the gallon of milk,
"Here, I brought this to you." The man took the milk and rushed down a
hallway. Then from down the  hall came a woman carrying the
milk toward the kitchen. The man was following  her holding a baby.
The baby was crying. The man had tears streaming down his  face.
The man began speaking and half crying, "We were just praying.
We  had some big bills this month and we ran out of money.. We
didn’t have any milk for our baby. I was just praying and asking God to
show me how to get some  milk."His wife in the kitchen
yelled out, "I ask him to send an Angel  with some. Are you an
Angel?"The young man reached into his wallet and  pulled out
all the money he had on him and put in the man’s hand. He
turned  and walked back toward his car and the tears were streaming
down his face.
